Introduction
We all know what Covid-19 is. Most of us are waiting on it to finish and go out in public without needing to get pulled over for not wearing a mask, not social distancing by 6 feet, etc. We’ve been in Quarantine for about 9 months, since it started in March 2020.
Covid cases has been rising up since then, making it more and more risky to go to places and just simply interacting with friends.
For a while, we’ve been trying to find a vaccine to end the Covid life, and a few days ago, the vaccine has been released.

What is the process?
First of all, we don’t know if it works or if it’s 100% okay for the people with Covid to take the vaccine.
Testing:
So, as some of us know, Scientists test it on animals. Of course, the animals that can catch Covid-19, and see if the animal (such as mice and monkeys) produces an immune response.
Phase 1:
The Scientists first test it on a small number of group. Ex. 100 people, to confirm that is stimulates the immune system.

Phase 2:
Then the Scientists test a few groups of 100, having different groups of elders and children to see if it acts any different.

Phase 3:
Scientists test the vaccine on thousands of people a to see the number of people would be infected. This phases is a test to see the side effects of the vaccine. It determines if it protects against Covid, measuring what’s known as the efficacy rate.

Is the Vaccine moving around the world?
The answer is yes. On the New York Times website, there is a tracker showing where is has been and the latest updates: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/science/coronavirus-vaccine-tracker.html
People are very excited that the vaccine is going around so Covid can end faster. It’s almost been a year.
