The main difference between Democrats and Republicans is their BELIEFS. Many people have different beliefs on certain topics, and usually get attacked for it.

For example, Ab*rtion. If you don’t know what it is, please don’t search it up. It’s removing a baby from your body if you’re pregn@nt. However, Republicans have a very negative opinion on it. Another example, LGBTQ+ rights. Democrats believe that LGBTQ+ rights shouldn’t matter to them if they aren’t a part of it, and believe that love is love, and that they shouldn’t take it away. However, Republicans believe that LGBTQ+ People are disgusting, and are very much against it. They want to take away their rights, as of what Justice Amy Coney Barrett has said.

Justice Amy Coney Barrett is the Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the US. She has once tried to state that LGBTQ+ rights should be taken away in the United States.

There are many other things Democrats and Republicans have different opinions on, like Medicare, Climate Change, Housing, “The Wall,” etc.

Here is a comparison between Democrats, Republicans, and Independants in the US (Made by me!)

This does sound like it has nothing to do with politics, but it pretty much does. Medicare, Climate Change, Ab*rtion, LGBTQ+ rights, if any of these need to stay or get removed, the government needs to settle it.

Senators have a really big part in this, since Senators review the laws and rules that are requested from the White House (that are requested from people), and if they think the law should get accepted, they send it off to the president for the last check-up on it. If the President doesn’t sign the bill for the law, they send it back to the Senator to re-review it, and then they re-send it back and so on.
